1. Introduction
Welcome to DIT Coaching. DIT Coaching operates as a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform tailored for coaching institutes. Our platform allows multiple coaching institutes to register, create online courses, manage educational content, and permits students to enroll and access these courses.
We respect your privacy and are comprehensively committed to protecting your personal data in alignment with standards such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy policy informs you how we look after your personal data when you use our platform—whether you are a coaching institute administrator, an instructor, or an enrolled student—and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
1a. Data Controller and Processor Roles (GDPR)
In the context of the GDPR and similar data protection frameworks, DIT Coaching primarily acts as a "Data Processor" providing the platform infrastructure on behalf of the registered coaching institutes. The coaching institutes act as the "Data Controllers" for their registered students. If you are a student, your chosen coaching institute is primarily responsible for determining how your data is used for their courses. We process this data strictly to provide the SaaS product functionality to the institutes and to you.
2. Initial Information We Collect
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:
- Identity Data: includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier.
- Contact Data: includes email address and telephone numbers.
- Technical Data: includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, etc.
- Profile Data: includes your username and password, purchases or orders made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.
3. How We Use Your Data
We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
- To register you as a new customer.
- To provide and manage your account.
- To process and deliver your orders including: managing payments, fees and charges.
- To notify you about changes to our terms or privacy policy.
- To provide support and handle inquiries.
4. Social Media Integrations & Facebook App Usage
Our application offers features that allow you to connect your social media accounts, including integrating with Facebook Pages via our authorized Facebook Developer App.
- Connection and Posting: You can link your Facebook Page account to our platform. This integration enables you to create and publish posts directly to your connected Facebook Pages from within our application.
- Data Access & Usage: To provide this functionality, we access the necessary information from your Facebook account (such as page permissions and user access tokens) strictly for the purpose of publishing the content you authorize via our Facebook Developer App. We do not use this data for any other purposes.
- Other Integrations: We may also support integrations with other social media platforms. In such cases, similar principles apply: we only request permissions strictly necessary to provide the specific integration features you choose to enable.
- Data Deletion & Revocation: We store authorization tokens securely. You can unlink your social media accounts at any time from your account settings, which will immediately revoke our access and delete the stored tokens. You may also request full deletion of any associated social media data in accordance with Facebook app data deletion rules by contacting us.
5. Data Security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know.
6. Your Legal Rights (GDPR & Others)
Under certain circumstances and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws, you have comprehensive rights in relation to your personal data. These include the right to request access, correction, erasure (the "right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability/transfer, and the right to object to processing. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time where we (or the coaching institute) are relying on consent to process your personal data. Students may need to contact their respective coaching institute directly to fulfill certain data rights requests, and we will assist the institutes in fulfilling them.
